Virginia Commonwealth University’s Web standards establish guidelines for planning and publishing various types of university websites.
Websites must include the VCU branding bar, which contains the university seal, logotype and bar element, across the top of each page. Scripts for this branding bar are available in our downloads section.
Institutional, personal, student organization and community websites, as well as mobile devices must adhere to the Web Standards & Guidelines outlined by VCU Technology Services. These include the site’s compliance with technical standards, appropriate use of templates and university logos, usability and browser compatibility.
To request a review of your website, please email the web services director at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sites are reviewed annually and if a site is found to be non-compliant, the website administrator can request that a site be reviewed once they log into the A-Z Manager.
