The VCU Identity (logotype and bar elements) should be represented in a consistent manner in order to continue building its national and international recognition, providing Virginia Commonwealth University with a visual signature for all Web and printed communications. The specific font, letter spacing, proportions and spatial relationships should not be altered as all of these elements impact the presentation of the identity.

VCU Logotypes

The logotypes provide a distinct identity for the university, associating the three-letter abbreviation with the full name of the university. The logotype should be used in conjunction with the bar element. The specific font, letter spacing, proportions and spatial relationships should not be altered as all of these elements impact the presentation of the identity.

VCU Bars

The bar provides a visual representation of the university’s full name. The bar should be used in conjunction with the logotype element. VCU Medical Center Logo

VCU and VCU Medical Center Emblems

The emblems serve as VCU’s signature for various forms of print. It should be used only after the VCU Identity has been established using the logotype and bar elements. The emblems should be sized to 3/4” on print materials. The emblem may be used on T-shirts, mugs and other novelty items at a larger size. The specific font, letter spacing, proportions and spatial relationships should not be altered as all of these elements impact the presentation of the identity.
