Color and fonts

The Virginia Commonwealth University Identity Manual’s colors and fonts help create a consistent visual impact and play a key role in the overall branding of the university and medical center.

The official university colors and fonts that make up the various logos and create the core identity should not be altered on stationery and signage. However, no restrictions apply to the usage of additional colors and fonts that complement the VCU graphic identity in print publications and websites.

The flexibility of the VCU Identity — designed to stand alone within a broad variety of styles and represent a modern, urban and diverse university — also allows for color variations and complementary font choice in various communications.

Since choosing the appropriate typeface and color is critical when used in combination with the VCU logotypes, the VCU Identity Manual offers suggested color palettes and suggested fonts.
